The piston pump is a reciprocating positive displacement pump with the piston as a moving element, and it is a pump that realizes the suction and discharge of liquid by the reciprocating movement of the piston in the cylinder block to produce the change of the sealing volume. It is generally composed of a cylinder block, a piston, a one-way suction valve, and a one-way discharge valve. The working principle is: when the piston moves to the left, the sealing volume gradually increases, the pressure gradually decreases, and the one-way suction valve opens to realize the function of inhaling liquid; When the piston moves to the left, the sealing volume gradually decreases, the pressure gradually increases, and the one-way discharge valve opens to realize the function of discharging liquid.

The plunger pump is a reciprocating positive displacement pump with the plunger as a moving element. It is a pump that relies on the plunger to reciprocate in the cylinder to produce changes in the sealing volume to achieve suction and discharge of liquid. It is generally composed of cylinder block, plunger, check valve, spring and so on.

When classifying reciprocating pumps, first consider whether it meets the uses listed in subhead 8413.1~8413.4, if it meets the uses, it should first be classified into the corresponding subhead according to its use; If it does not meet the purposes listed in subhead 8413.1~8413.4, it shall be classified under subhead 8413.5 according to its working principle, where the "pneumatic", "electric" and "hydraulic" of the national subhead refers to the driving mode of the liquid pump, for example, "electric" refers to the liquid pump driven by an electric motor.
